Theater of the Seventh Sister will open it’s 20th Season with the show Stones in His Pockets by Marie Jones and directed by Charlie DelMarcelle. The show will run October 23-November 9, 2008, at the Stahr Performing Arts Center located at the Stahr Armory on North Queen St.
Jones’ play explores how the lives of the residents of a small Irish community are turned upside down when a Hollywood film crew comes to town. A cast of two performs all 15 characters in this award winning comedy. With a minimum of costume changes, and props the two central characters, Charlie Conlon and Jake Quinn deftly switch from star struck extras to clueless Hollywood outsiders. Moving from one hilarious situation to another, the play looks at the difference between real life and reel life with wit, charm and a deep understanding of and respect for the nature of dreams, human dignity, and the need for hope.
